Guardianship of the Person: Once appointed by the probate court, Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS
works to arrange for appropriate services that best provide for the health, welfare and safety of its wards in the least restrictive setting possible.
Guardianship of the Estate: For some individuals, the probate
court appoints a guardian for financial affairs. The estate department of Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS ensures the individuals are managed and protected in a
responsible manner.
Guardian Ad Litem: Some individuals, particularly children, are involved in disputes between
two parties. In these cases, the court may appoint Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS to act as a Guardian Ad Litem to advocated for and act in the best interest of that individual.
Conservatorship: There may be times when an individual requests the assistance of an agent
to help manage his or her finances. Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS will serve as a court-ordered Conservator in these cases.
Representative Payee: Many individuals need assistance in managing their public assistance
or retirement funds. Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS can act as a Representative Payee for these persons, assisting them in managing their often limited funds as wisely as possible.
Power of Attorney: Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS is available to carry out and advocate previously
expressed wishes when the client is unable to so themselves.
Estate Management: Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS provides professional estate management. By
first assessing the needs of our clients, present and future. We are able to develop and estate plan to assure that each individual's needs are met to the maximum extent possible.
Consultation: Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS is available to consult on all aspects of Guardianship
for attorneys, nursing homes, hospitals, or family members.
Training: The staff at Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS have been training both individuals and
groups in New Hampshire and Nationwide on all aspects of guardianship and estate issues.
Fees: Tri-County CAP, Inc. / GSGS is compensated for Guardianship
of the Person on a per diem basis. Compensation for Estate Management is on an hourly basis. We currently have contracts with the New Hampshire Division of Mental Health and Development Services
as well as the New Hampshire Department of Corrections. |
